Transfer Pictures from iPad to Mac
The pictures on the iPad are not stored in any easily-useable format unless you chose to store the "Full Resolution" pictures on the iPad when you originally synced your pictures library (this is an option in iTunes, which is turned OFF by default).
If you did sync your full resolution pictures, they will be located under the \Photos\Full Resolution directory on your iPad, sorted into subfolders by year, month, and day.
If you do not have a "Full Resolution" sub-directory, then the only pictures present on your iPad will be the ones that the iPad itself uses. These are stored in thumbnail databases, so you will need a third-party program - iPad to Mac Transfer to transfer pictures from iPad to Mac.
