Remember how the iPod didn't get super cool until its current state, the touch. Imagine 6th gen iPads! But yea, the point is, 500 bucks isn't a ton to save up after you spend 1200. And the iPad 2 lets you enjoy a super sweet upgrade to your computing experience.

Apple offers the iMac with a choice between five different processors. The slowest is an Intel Core i5 processor with a clock speed of 2.5GHz and 6MB of Level 3 cache. The fastest is an Intel Core i7 processor with a clock speed of 3.4GHz and 6MB of Level 3 Cache. The iPad comes equipped with a Samsung-Intrinsity Apple A4 processor with a 1.0GHz clock speed.
For memory, base versions of the iMac come standard with 4GB of RAM, upgradeable to a maximum 16GB. Apple sold the original iPad with 256MB of RAM.
For storage, base versions of the iMac come with a 500GB hard drive, upgradeable to 2TB at the time of purchase. Apple sold the iPad equipped with a 16, 32 or 64GB solid-state hard drive.
